We love what we do here at Collaborative Perks, but that doesn’t mean
that the work we do isn’t tiring sometimes! There are days where any of us can feel a little overwhelmed.
Go for a walk – If you happen to be sitting for extensive periods of
time throughout the day, it’s important to remember those muscles and bones need some activity. Studies show that even 10 minute walks improve brain function. It also helps prevent high blood pressure as well as heart disease. Keep your mind and body active, and you will feel rewarded for it. You could even invite a colleague to join you.
Listen to music – Why not discover new songs and try listening to them
during a lunch break? Try actively listening to the music, as opposed to having it as a background. Pay attention to the melodies if you are someone who likes lyrics. Listening to sounds and not words can be very uplifting.
Read a book – Reading has always been a great way to travel without leaving the room. If you feel ocular strain from being in front of a screen, reading on paper is also much less aggressive on your eyes. Last but not least books are fantastic tools to sharpen your literacy. Being able to understand a complex narrative, solely through verbal communication, does wonders for your logical ability.
Powernapping – If you happen to be the kind of person that can doze off
at any given time, why not try and nap it off? Even 10 minutes of napping can help restore basic brain function and boost motivation.
